“Do one thing every day that scares you.”
― Eleanor Roosevelt
Alice was once asked during an interview “what do you want to do when you grow up because your experiences range through a wide spectrum…”. Alice always knew what she loved doing and was good at—working with people and building relationships. Alice’s passion to help friends and clients find solutions is a consistent theme in her life. She thrives in seeking out new ideas and processes and taking concepts to reality. Growing up in her family factory business she was instilled with values of hard work, cost consciousness, treating employees with respect and kindness and standing behind everything you put your name on. The family business also helped her developed an appreciation and passion for design and introducing aesthetics into everyday objects, which fueled her to graduate with a degree in Art Education at Northern Illinois University.
Alice’s ‘Year of Yes’ was 2015. Inspired by a Rhonda Shimes TED Talk, she returned to China to reconnect with her heritage and help her father reposition the family business. She returned to Chicago later that year reenergized to pursue her real estate career and showcase her business savvy, love of relationship building and appreciation for functional art. Alice excelled as a Listing Specialist at Redfin and still holds the Redfin record for the highest cash deal transaction in the Chicagoland area at $3.425M for an overseas buyer.
Alice became fascinated by BrightLeaf after accepting a friend’s invitation to an Inside the Walls event. She walked away asking who are these audacious group of people daring to change the way we live and demanding a healthier, sustainable and affordable green eco home option?? So she made it her mission to become one of them. She looks forward to serving her clients’ real estate needs with a touch of green sprinkles wherever possible.
Alice’s artistic background stands out as an exceptional asset as she works with her clients to prep and stage their home. She is known to show up with her tool box and moving gloves to help clients with home improvement projects and moving furniture around. Being prepared in a competitive market with showcasing a home in its best light and pricing it accurately has proven to be a win-win for her clients and her.
Alice is inspired by TED, NPR, Pinterest, SacredDivineGoddess (started by her childhood best friend), women who push through the ceiling and especially helping other women. She prefers mountains over the beach, enjoys dance, golf, and volunteering (especially helping with the elderly citizens). Alice is fluent in Mandarin and is finishing up a degree in Project Management at the University of Chicago.
Alice lives in Hinsdale (after 15 years in Chicago’s Bucktown neighborhood) with her daughter and fur baby Piper who loves to go to work with her mom.
