I want to use my love for design to help every family build not just a house, but their ultimate dream home.

Meghan could never pinpoint exactly what she wanted to do when she grew up, but she knew she wanted to follow in her dad’s footsteps somehow. Her dad was a home builder in the southwest suburbs of Chicago, so she grew up around construction which sparked her love for design at an early age. She always found herself wanting to create her own floor plans (which really were just crayon drawings of her room), rearrange all the furniture in the house and help with any home renovation project she could get her hands on.
After graduating from The Illinois Institute of Art in Chicago with her Interior Design degree, Meghan gained experience in different areas of residential design in both downtown Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. She wanted to expand her career and went into project management for a commercial design/build company. Realizing she had a knack for both design and project management, she was looking for a way to incorporate that back into a residential setting and reconnect with all the things that led her to design in the first place.
Meghan became passionate about finding ways to live a greener lifestyle and wanted to make a difference not only in her personal life, but her professional life too. She was eager to use her career to help create homes that were meaningful, functional, and safe not only for the client but the environment as well and that is what brought her to BrightLeaf.
When Meghan is not working, she spends most of her time with family, friends, and most importantly her dog. She is a slight coffee addict, huge country music fan and is always pushing herself to stay active in different ways. Meghan has a long bucket list of places she would like to travel around the world that she plans on crossing off one day, but for now, most of her traveling is down to Nashville to visit family and listen to all the live music she can.
